Beyoncé and Jay-Z to Throw Fundraiser for Obama in NYC

Jay-Z and Beyoncé got Barack Obama‘s back.
The musical supercouple is hosting a fundraiser on Sept. 18 for the president’s reelection campaign at the rapper-producer’s 40/40 Club in New York City. The Commander-in-Chief will grace the 100-guest exclusive event, for which ticket prices run as high as $40,000 per head. And reports indicate that the affair will be Obama’s final fundraising event in the Big Apple ahead of the Nov. 6 election.
But this certainly isn’t the first time in recent months that Jay and Bey have shown love for Team Obama.
Jay-Z and Beyoncé have made no secret of their loyal support for the POTUS. In a May interview with CNN, the rapper praised Obama as “leaps and bounds” better than Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
And in July, Queen B released a clip showing support for First Lady Michelle Obama and her hubby. “Michelle is the ultimate example of a truly strong African-American,” Beyoncé said in the clip. “She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time she is the first lady!”
