On Tuesday, heavy floods sacked the headquarters of the Immigration Service on Asaba-Onitsha Express way. It led to the loss of properties worth millions of naira including two heavy generating sets, and a transformer.
The flooding was caused by the overflowing of the River Nigeria. Another consequence of the flood at the headquarters of the Immigration Service was the invasion of snakes in the premises.
Officers of the service were seen moving production equipment and documents, using canoes, while hundreds of people watched.
